Because a dose you cannot see is a dose you cannot evaluate.

An ingredient name tells you something is present. It does not tell you how much, and the amount is what decides whether that ingredient does anything at all. Nobody would accept a bottle of ibuprofen labeled only “ibuprofen.” You would want to know whether it is 200 mg or 800 mg, because that single number is the difference between a headache tablet and a prescription. An IV works the same way. The milligram is the whole decision.

So every formula on this site lists its ingredients, the dose of each, and what that dose becomes at each of the three bag sizes. Published in advance, in full, for every bag we make.

Our advice, wherever you go for an IV: ask what the doses are. Dosing is the whole thing, and any clinic should be glad to tell you. If you want to understand one of our formulas before you book, everything you need is already on the page.

Several of these call for a physician trained specifically in them, with the oversight to manage a reaction if one occurs. That is the practical difference a medical license makes.

Sometimes an injection is the right answer, and we will say so.

An intravenous infusion delivers a full formula in volume, directly into the bloodstream, over 45 minutes to an hour. An intramuscular injection delivers one nutrient or a small combination in about a minute, and starts at $35.

If what you need is a B12 top-up or vitamin D, the injection is usually the appropriate choice, and those have their own page. Where an infusion earns its place is volume and combination: hydration, several grams of vitamin C, a chelating agent, high-dose glutathione. None of that is deliverable in a syringe.

Every ingredient in an infusion carries a real cost, and the dose is the lever that moves it. Dr. McNulty built these formulas around the amount of each nutrient the evidence actually supports, then held the price near the local norm by accepting a narrower margin on every bag.

That is the whole of the decision. We did not reduce the dose to protect the margin. And we publish every milligram in every formula at every bag size, so the decision is visible to you rather than something you take on faith.

Nature & Science Medicine is owned by a naturopathic doctor and run by naturopathic doctors. Dr. McNulty wrote our IV formulas himself. He also taught IV therapy to naturopathic doctors at Bastyr University. For years his job was teaching other physicians how to build an infusion and why each ingredient belongs in it.

That training is why our formulas look the way they do. Naturopathic medicine looks at how nutrients work together in the body, not just what each one does alone. So we build around that. Our NAD+ infusion is a good example: NAD+ runs alongside the B vitamins, amino acids and minerals the cell uses to recycle it, all in the same bag.

We can work from a desk, a conference room or the van itself, whichever suits the space. There is no travel fee, no setup fee and no event fee, and no minimum number of staff. The minimum is five services booked.

Patients stay at their own desks with the infusion running, so nobody loses an afternoon, and every service is billed at the price published on this site.

Every IV formula has a research page behind it, citing peer-reviewed literature for the specific ingredients in that bag. There are twenty-two of them. They set out what the evidence supports, and they say plainly where it remains preliminary rather than established.

We are talking about IV therapy specifically here. The evidence base is stronger for some of what we do than others, and we would rather show you the citations for the formulas than make a broad claim across everything. Publishing them is how we make that standard checkable rather than asserted.

A NAD+ infusion is commonly prepared as NAD+ in saline. Ours is built on our complete Nutrient IV, running on lactated Ringer’s rather than saline, with 50% more vitamin C than the standard version, double the NAC, the NAD+ itself, and a glutathione push to finish.

There is a clinical reason for building it that way. NAD+ does not act in isolation. The cell needs B vitamins, amino acids and minerals available to recycle and use it, so we supply them in the same infusion.

The price reflects that. A substantial share of what you pay is the Nutrient IV itself, which is a $185 to $275 treatment in its own right.

• The Healing Power of Nature (Vis Medicatrix Naturae). Naturopathic medicine recognizes an inherent self-healing process in people that is ordered and intelligent. Naturopathic physicians act to identify and remove obstacles to healing and recovery and to facilitate and augment this inherent self-healing process.
• Identify and Treat the Causes (Tolle Causam). The naturopathic physician seeks to identify and remove the underlying causes of illness rather than to merely eliminate or suppress symptoms.
• First Do No Harm (Primum Non Nocere). No. The chemical form matters as much as the amount.

Vitamin B6 is the clearest example. The form used in most intravenous formulations is pyridoxine, which the liver must convert into pyridoxal-5-phosphate before the body can use it. We formulate with pyridoxal-5-phosphate directly. The same applies to B12, where we use methylcobalamin in place of cyanocobalamin, and to folate, where we use folinic acid in place of folic acid.

This is also why a milligram count read on its own can mislead. Our B6 is 50 mg against the 100 mg in a standard Myers cocktail. The lower figure is the stronger one here, because none of it depends on a conversion step that varies from patient to patient.

We publish the form of every nutrient we use alongside its dose, for the same reason we publish the dose itself.

We accept HSA and FSA cards, and we can give you an itemized superbill on request to submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement. California naturopathic practices can't bill insurance directly, so your visit is paid at the time of service.

Appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled anytime up until 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment time.

An appointment for a consultation with the doctor that is canceled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full appointment fee. However, if the appointment is rebooked within the next 14 days, the already paid appointment fee can be applied.

Missed appointments with the doctor with no prior cancellation or rescheduling are charged the full price of the appointment.

A cancellation fee is charged out of respect for the time of each of our doctors and to ensure that appointment time slots are available to those who can attend.

If multiple appointments were scheduled back-to-back, appointment fees may be charged for each missed appointment.

For any of the Nutrient IV infusions:

A missed appointment follows the policy as outlined below:

• First missed IV: Patient is reminded of 24-hour cancellation policy and fee is waived
• Second missed IV: Patient pays flat fee of $100. If this appointment is rescheduled within two weeks, the payment (of $100) can be used toward the payment of the rescheduled visit.
• Third missed IV: Patient pays non-refundable flat fee of $100, which cannot be used as credit toward a reschedule visit.

For any of the Specialty IV infusions:

A missed appointment for any of the Specialty IV infusions follows the policy as outlined below:

• First missed IV: Patient is reminded of 24-hour cancellation policy and fee is waived
• Second missed IV: Patient pays 50% of the original cost of the IV. If this appointment is rescheduled within two weeks, the payment can be used toward the payment of the rescheduled visit.
• Third missed IV: Patient pays non-refundable fee of 50% of the original cost of the IV, which cannot be used as credit toward a reschedule visit.

For Ozone Therapy:

A missed appointment for ozone therapy fee is 50% of the price paid for the patient’s last ozone treatment. If no prior ozone treatment has been completed, a flat fee of $200 will be collected. If a package was purchased for ozone, the fee collected will be 50% off the package price for the visit.
