What this one is

Just fluid, done properly. A drop of barely 1% of your body weight is enough to dull your focus and drive fatigue — and once you're behind, an IV restores your blood volume faster than drinking can. We use Lactated Ringer's because it's matched to your own blood chemistry, rather than plain saline.

How this one differs

It's the only IV on this page with no additives at all. That's the point — sometimes fluid is all you need. Zofran or Toradol can be added if your provider thinks it's appropriate.
